Do you want more theory? // Level 3 update

hi friends!

Wow, what a big week we had. It was incredible to finish our first class of the new and updated Level 3 course.  This was the first time teaching it from the perspective that it’s all about coherence, and dedicating each day to bringing another mind into coherence.

I’ll tell you all about it shortly, but first, I have to ask: Do you want more theory?

I can go a lot of ways on this blog. I could use it just for marketing (I’d hate that too); I could just keep it practical with demos and applications like manifesting; or I could bring you up to speed with the very latest breakthroughs in the theory of healing and spirituality.

This blog is for you, not for me. I already know this stuff, I’m not writing for my own benefit. So if YOU don’t tell me what you want, how am I to know? Don’t leave it for other people to comment.

Here’s my “stuff”:  I spent a few weeks preparing a huge update on Coherence for you.  This is all new content for which people pay thousands of dollars on the Level 3 course. I decided to share the theory with you here.

Did it interest you? Was it pitched to your level? Or too theoretical? I don’t know because relatively few people left a comment.

I’ve mentioned it before – this blog has thousands of readers, but merely 20-30 commenters. That means I’m doing something wrong. I can own that, I can take responsibility. But I really want your help in figuring that out. Please let me know, either here or privately.

Don’t forget the free healing session contest still applies for all comments during May.

I have a lot of important theory to share about how to reach coherence and how to heal cancer through coherence, but I wont be posting it till the last coherence article gets enough comments.  (Not comments here, comments on the update on Coherence).  Sorry to set a boundary but that’s my terms.   Think of comments (and hopefully links to the blog) as your exchange for getting lots of free information, worth thousands of dollars. I think that’s fair.

Level 3 update

Back to the Level 3, the course was incredible. I’m so proud of all the students, who performed miracles. According to the feedback taken at the end of the class, 100% of students had significant physical and emotional shifts.

Of course we recorded testimonials from participants about what they cleared and we’ll be featuring these soon.

We also recorded all the classroom demonstrations. If the students give permission I will be uploading some to this blog.   I totally respect the student’s right to privacy on this (as one student put it to me – what they shifted a week ago in class feels like a lifetime ago and should be left there). I’m confident of getting a 1-2 new and awesome instant healing demos to you soon.

blessings!

Simon

ps leave a comment here if it’s about the Level 3 course or about what I should do to encourage participation.  Otherwise please (pretty please) do let me know your thoughts on our update on Coherence page.

  1. I wish I knew what you could do to encourage participation Simon.
I would personally have left more comments here, but I know that it’s not my comments that you would like or need.
I’ve started my own blog, and have the same problem. People are reading it. People are coming back, they’re interested, they click the “interesting” and “wow” boxes, but do they leave comments? Nope.
The truth is, as far as I see it, that people are sheep. I know this may sound harsh to a lot of you, but it’s true. I just wrote an article about this on my blog – people will do as they are told, they will follow orders, they will buy things when they are told to enough times on television, but will they think for themselves? Will the contribute, share, and give their thoughts, ideas, feelings to a debate intended to help the wider community?
The reality is that most people won’t, and don’t. It used to make me angry – I am happy to say that I am now much more compassionate about it. I am grateful that anyone READS what I write, and I hope that they are benefitted enough that one day they might pluck up the courage to give something back.
I thought your idea of the ‘free transformation’ was really working, but then a BIG article on a BIG subject, and what? 8 comments? It’s pretty funny when you really think about it…
Another reason I haven’t put up many comments since then is that I feel I don’t really need the free session with you as much as others might. But if I ‘win’ it I won’t say no :)
I still have some issues myself.
With love to you all, and WRITE SOMETHING!!!
Bloggers need some inspiration too sometimes ;)

ps Simon – I’m very interested to hear about the 12 minds, and how you incorporate that in to the new 12 days of course 3. Can’t wait to hear about coherence beyond the 3 minds. Especially since my right ankle ligaments are totally broken, and probably the joint is also damaged after years of wear. I believe one of those 12 minds is down there in the ankle? I know I probably have big secondary gain (perhaps it’s because I know that if I heal that, then there is nothing that I can’t heal, and I’m afraid of my own full power?) Anyway, please keep the theory coming, and as many demos as possible. For me, these things are wonderful. I check this blog almost daily.

I don’t think our readers are sheep. I think that people are shy or don’t think they have something valuable to say. Some don’t realise that you can use a fake name and be anonymous. There are many explanations.

The fact is though that really successful blogs get hundreds of comments. Case in point: just today I was leaving a comment (about 100th in the list) on Yaro’s blog. Yaro is a young Australian blogging mentor.

I read blogs like Yaro’s because I have a lot to learn.

But I’m also trying to be provocative in the hope that it’ll piss someone off enough that they’ll make a comment, even if it is out of anger.
Thanks for the link to Yaro, I’ll check him out, because I also have a lot to learn!!

  2. Simon, I have to believe that I’m not the only one who comes to your blog every day hoping to get more details on the theory of RPT. Not to be a whiner, but my situation as a recent retiree is such that my current budget focuses on basic necessities. I “stumbled” upon your site rather than being a practitioner of your current or past teachings. Most blogs divulge very little in terms of real theory because the developer of the technique teases you with enough detail to get you to enroll and pay the thousands of dollars to learn the entire process. Your enigmatic approach is therefore a breath of fresh air and one that I appreciate in awed recognition of your heartfelt desire to truly be of service.

From my perspective the energetic impulse underlying your blog is of such quality that it inherently limits the number of people who will likely be attracted to it. Thankfully the awakening process is quickening, but in the meantime, only those readers who desire to engage in cutting edge techniques that create mega shifts will show up. And, of those who do visit regularly, how many have a schedule that allows for thoughtful discourse? I’m trusting that you will continue to offer a variety of content with the knowing that immediate feedback is but a small indicator of the wave of transformation that you are setting into motion.

  3. Hi, interesting you bring out the topics about comments on this blog.
In my view, basically there are two reasons for why people didn’t make comments as much as you want:

    1. You article is clear and straight forward – Such that people didn’t have much questions about what you said. Instead of just saying “you are doing good stuff”, they would rather keep quiet.

    2. Your information is not enough, to the extend to impact people’s life – people may really understand what you said, but they didn’t have enough information to really put it into practice into their life. Most majority of people didn’t really know how to apply what you said here into their life (i guess), so they dont have much to say.

This is only my personal viewpoints, coz I only left comment for two reasons: 1. i have question to ask, 2, I have personal experience that related to share.

    So wish this can help.

    2) if my article does not give enough information, tell me what you want / need!

I’ll comment elsewhere but I would like to answer a question you pose in this post. I’d like more theory AND more video. In fact I want them, need them, require them, love them and desire them. Preferably all now. All of them. Right now.

I would like more video footage too. I have quite a lot of footage from the Level 3 that I want to edit for the blog.

Just so you guys know, each 10 minute video on this blog represents hundreds of dollars in equipment hire (lighting /curtains etc), an hour or two of video shooting and a few hours of editing… I used to outsource the editing but it was prohibitive, so I asked Conrad to teach me how to do it. So basically, for each 10 minute video, figure 4-5 hours of my time. This is not an exaggeration!

Yes, I would like to bring a LOT more video, but it’s just been a time management exercise, especially while teaching. Bear in mind that also doing a full website redesign and other major projects! :-)

  5. Dear Simon,

I love to read more and more information and theory about your new concept. The reason for my silence is that my written (and spoken) English is so bad. Fortunately I can understand everything because I love reading and learning :-) .

I learned a lot from you and would love to see you when you are coming to Europe this fall. And I hope that will be possible. beacause I feel deeply, that you – like some other wise people – are touching a deep truth.

Thank you for writing this blog. You can be sure that I am following everything. Maybe my Englich will improve soon ;-) and I will have the courage to write more :-)

  6. Hi Simon,
Thank you for your blog and updates. The time and energy you generously share to create them is acknowledged and appreciated.

I understand your frustration with desiring more interaction and exchange amongst the group. I can only speak for myself – and that is through the filters of my “stuff” which I am working on to clear – which at this point seems to stem mostly from having only completed Level 2 and not feeling like I have enough theoretical knowledge to pose a question that isn’t already common knowledge for those who have more advanced training. So, there’s my “stuff” and now I know what I’m working on next!

Any, and all, information that you choose to share would be greatly welcomed. From a personal perspective, I would love to see more: a) theory, b) video, c) demos, d) all of the above!
    In joy!

this blog isn’t for those people. this blog is to make the information really acessable to those who haven’t done the course, or who want to know more before taking the courses.

So compared to the average reader, your level 2 training makes you something of an expert. So please, ask away. Ask questions you want to know, and ask questions you think others might have that I haven’t addressed.

  7. I was going to say that people have been sitting in classroom taking in information and are receivers of information rather than creative minds that shares ideas like you. I think also that there is fear of being wrong like master student program running.

But then I remembered that haleakala hew len (ho’oponopono teacher) said something like: why do some people get really successful in business? Data running in the unconscious mind. So why am I thomas sitting here reading and experiencing a blog that discusses why and how to get more discussion and openness about how to be creative and share ideas. I am having the data in my mind blocking this from happening and I can release/forgive that from my mind.

So i will do my forgiveness now and lets see if something happens ;)

I really like to get practical about things. Some theory is needed (perhaps) to be able to get results. But I think that clips transmit much more information than just words and pictures so maybe it is enough.

    Thanks for sharing

  8. Hi Simon,

Question, We are all on a path of sorts? Some people are further along the path, so they have a knowing (so don’t make comments on the blog, my personal opinion), the people just starting on the path do have questions but feel inadequate to pose them? Some people hate to make fools of themselves, having the knowledge that their words will be read my many?

Feel free to express whatever you wish to give and the people will receive it, in whatever form it appears for them. Questions are for the asking if people wish to ask them. Your right saying that people are shy, I believe this is the biggest factor for people not leaving messages.

I would like theory, because I have a scientifc mind and I can look and digest it when I want. Video’s are great to because I like to watch the interaction because the healing work is so profound. And anything else you wish to put on here, as this is your space Simon. I’ll stop there I and hope that I have expressed somethings people are thinking but not writing, commenting on etc.,

    simonrose Reply:

thanks Monica. I agree. What I would like to take responsibility for, and clear, is the idea that new visitors might feel inadequate to comment.

It’s hard for me to fully understand because I’ve never been backwards about coming forwards about any topic (ignorance notwithstanding). It’s hard to shut me up!!

What concerns me is that without feedback it’s hard to know where and how to pitch this blog. Since I don’t really email any more (and certainly can’t correspond with every past student), this blog is my way to interact with “the world.”

  9. Hi Simon

I like a good balance between theory and practical demonstrations but the problem is that my idea of balance isn’t necessarily someone else’s. As I’ve done the courses, my preference is for more advanced or cutting edge stuff but you’re also dealing with the fact that some people here haven’t done the courses. It’s the old saying about being able to please some of the people all the time, all the people some of the time but you can’t please all the people all the time. But you shouldn’t even be trying to please all the people all the time as the blog can never replace actually doing the courses (either live or by DVD as the courses are only in a limited number of countries at this stage).

I’m really interested in seeing the coherence techniques so I can start applying it but general demos for various issues are interesting too. I always learn something new or some nuance is clarified from each demo I see.

In relation to the number of comments, I’m not sure what you’re expecting but most people tend to be lurkers. I find that blogs that generate high numbers of comments tend to also have a low signal to noise ratio (although there are exceptions). At this stage everyone just seems to be replying directly to you but it’ll grow over time and you’ll find that people start to reply to each other as well and generate discussion. All the comments I’ve read so far have been genuine and of a fairly high standard and, at the end of the day, quality is more important than quantity. Also, more people will discover the blog later and read the old posts so you’re not just writing for the people here now. You’ll get a general feel for which way to go from the people who do comment and you’re intuitive enough to know what the right balance is. Plus you can check your site stats to see if the ratio of return visitors grows in proportion to the increase of unique visitors to get an idea for how compelling the blog is.

I appreciate the fact that you take the time to do this. If it was just a marketing blog with rehashes of the same stuff over and over again I’d get bored and wouldn’t even bother to check in.

    Hi Simon!

First of all I got to say that I love what you’re doing here – sharing videos, updates and articles with us. I believe this blog to be unique, as most of the other blogs I read (mostly physiotherapy-related) share some articles and perhaps some minute-long videos – but you share free updates (instead of charging money for it) and life-changing material. That’s awesome!

I know I’m one of the frequent readers that seldom comment on your posts, but I *will* become a better and more frequent participant in the discussions here. I have some questions and ideas, perhaps even some critique concerning the theoretical framework of RPT, but I have been hesistant to post anything here – mostly because the development of the technique happens so fast. Caught up in school and exams, I haven’t had the time to post a my thoughts before new changes or ideas have been posted here. But as I said I’ll become better to make my presence noticed and give you some feedback on your wonderful work.

So what can you do to encourage participation… I don’t really know Simon. I’m no expert on the blogosphere – I know I’ll do my best to participate more though :)

So without further ado, I’ll thank you for maintaining this blog and giving us so much for free… and I’ll remember to post an answer to your Coherence-post – I have some ideas I got to share..

  12. Simon,

I love your blog – both theory (hungry, hungry, hungry for it — want to learn all I can) and demos/video.

As I read all the comments here, about why people comment and don’t comment, it surprised me that no one mentioned one of the key developmental points – where the blastocyst keeps itself hidden to stay safe while implanting itself in the womb which leads to patterns of invisibility in our lives. It’s my personal opinion that those patterns include refraining from comment on a public blog — where one could be “exposed” to criticism. I know that since I’ve cleared these points myself, I’m much more likely to comment and more willing to have a more public face.

People read your blog and then come to someone local to answer the questions. I personally have 3 students that read something on your blog first, found me so that they could ask questions on a more personal level. Of course, if I’d not read the article, I had to come read it too, before I would comment.

As you’ve traveled the world you’ve had the opportunity to learn from some very special folks including some of the major quantum physicist of our time, and it would be great if you would share some of that with us.

Also, sometimes in the process of marketing and teaching RPT classes, I barely have the time to read posts in all the different places, forums, blogs, etc, let alone write my own, so I don’t always take the time to comment. Doesn’t mean I am not taking in, and using what you’ve written. I even used one of your videos in a Level 2 class I just taught.

Thank for all you are doing. It is so fabulous to feel your energy in all the ways it’s coming through. I am looking forward with great anticipation the level 3 this summer in Los Angeles. It will be great to have you and Evette again in La.

    simonrose Reply:

just a quick answer as I’m falling asleep (I should never have put my blog on my iPhone….)

You are totally right about the blastocyst. As to why no one else has mentioned it, only a Level 2 RPT grad would know what you are talking about!

For whatever reason (mistake maybe) I have never talked about the significance of the Key Developmental Events on this blog. I know, it’s huge, and maybe too huge for the blog? What I mean by that is
    (a) it’s technical
    (b) even talking about it brings up people’s “stuff”
    (c) it’s beyond the scope of the blog to talk about it and clear it all

What I might do is pick just one of the 15 or so KDEs and cover it in detail on the blog.

For those who are curious and have no idea what we are talking about, please watch the video about the Level 2 course, here

  13. Simon – I am new to blogs. Yours is really the first. So guess I am a virgin……………ha I subscribe to dozen of self help and healing newsletters that I get via e-mail and often the will sit there for days before I get a chance to read them. Most get deleted because the material is just a re-hash of things I have heard before. New ideas need to simmer a little longer. I read coherence, watched the video and took it all in and have even been back to re-read and re-watch to absorb it all. There’s a lot there! I think at first I was just overwhelmed.

Then there is the time factor for me. Some days all I have time for is to read and review for updates. Writing and responding takes more time.
I took level 1 & 2 last fall. This process feels right and I have had some wonderful success with it. I am more confident today after a 5 year journey of learning how to be a healer to myself and others and that is thanks to RPT. I am still not sure how to be coherent? How do I apply this and be this. Oh sometimes I am in the flow (perhaps that is coherence?) during a healing session and walaaaa there is a huge shift. How much is me and how much is it the client – willing to find healing and let go? How do i re-create those moments more eaily and more clearly? Do I need to spend more time working on my own stuff? So that I can more connected? Or do I just need more confidence that I can heal?

Theory is wonderful and this theory is quite complex. Perhaps I still need that step by step practical how to guide.

I would love to take level 3 and someday even teach this marvelous life transforming material. Help me to manifest the time and money. I have only recently commited to working with clients as a healing coach and I still maintain a full time job as a mortgage broker. My vision is for a full time healing and teaching practice and to leave the toxic and stressed filled world of lending. For now I am creating a bridge between two worlds who are often in conflict with each other.

So yes, we/I need your help and guidance.

Practicalities, how to guides and some days step by step hand holding and yes theories and innovative and easy to learn techniques and success stories and stories of failures, cause then I see you as human and falliable and not so intimadating and encouragement .

RPT is on the leading edge and there are many who will not get it or like it. and for those of us who do like and and WANT to get it very much need this. and soon we will be connecting with not just you, with each other.

I think it is kinda like a pregnancy or gardening perhaps. You are planting the seed(s) and now we must all grow……………..even the blog!

  14. Hi Simon,
I see again that people are not participating in the blog(myself included)Speaking for myself, when i sit at the libraries computer, its a maximum 1hr per day usage,so when i use a computer i tend to peruse very quickly because as the saying goes time flies when your having fun(or reading up on many different subjects on any given day).i did chance to read some of the comments here & agree with them.
again commenting on my own ethics,i don’t necssarily find i have an opinion about anothers comments or opinions, only questions of my own;you have received them in the past as personal emails, feeling they were more personal in nature than not, but as more generalised queries arise(which they will),it will set off some discussions here i’m sure.
Then again as we evolve, there may be less need of words.Who’s to say?
Me?Sure why not while i’m here.
Heck,i know that that doesn’t resolve the under used blog situation, but at least you know the numbers are there(or here)

    Till next time.

    Hi Simon,
Maybe you have (so far) generally received little response to this blog because RPT has been changing so rapidly. That RPT has yet to ‘land’. Coherence: RPT has been in the process of gaining coherence. The colours have become brighter and clearer; the shapes more clearly defined and now it can ‘land’. I know it will continue to change and deepen but this past year has been phenomenal – blink and it’s changed – again!
Personally, I love it and I truly appreciate all the time and effort (and the ethos) behind what you share and present. I like the combination of videos with written explanations. I learn best with that combination. As someone who has attended your courses I am looking forward to the updates for graduates. Thank you both for all your efforts.

    Hi Simon,
I’ve taken a day to assimilate your presentation on coherence. To be honest I first had to get past my own feelings of being bullied by Ben Ralston comments on commenting. I spent a sleepless night being angered by them. I come to this blog (the only one I actually read because of the value I place on this work) and always I find a sense of peace, of belonging to a community of like minded beings from all over the planet . I come to this blog like a child on Christmas morning, excited to discover what leading edge you are taking us to next. Most blogs are filled with ranting, raving egomaniacs. Not this one; I feel my consciousness expanding instantly when the page begins to upload onto my computer screen.

In regards to what I want from this blog-EVERYTHING- Theory-Yes-Cutting Edge Research and Findings-Yes-Footage-Yes-Business and Marketing integration-Yes-everything else-YES.

I acknowledge the time you spend on all this. My (almost);) brother in-law films and edits footage and has given me a peak into the immense process and time of it all. So a BIG BIG THANK YOU for all your effort, and a BIG SHOUT OUT to your beautiful wife Evette for giving you up to the hundreds of hours of work it takes to bring this to all of us.

Another question for you Simon- what do you want to give to us? This is your blog, so what does your self want to give? What are you guided to share with us? I know that most of us want to eat everything that you have to offer with gusto and appreciation, but we would hate to see you burn out or feel unappreciated for the enormous, superhuman effort that you are putting in to change the face of consciousness and the planet itself. I acknowledge that you have fantastic boundaries.

    Thank You Simon and Evette.

in answer to what do I want to give you (meaning humanity)? I am committed to a process of global shifts in consciousness. One part of that is through this blog – through sharing information freely. There are many other aspects of course which include my committments to organisations like World Harmony Foundation and Humanitad.

Through this blog and through people like you (whoever is reading this), I hope to change certain entrenched ideas about therapy and spirituality. To elimiate beleifs like “healings take time,” “it takes many sessions to get results,” “you need to change beliefs to change your reality,” “you have to talk about abuse in order to heal it,” etc. There are also a whole stack of false New Age beleifs I would like to eradicate, a lot of which relate to “connecting to God,” seeing God as outside of self, listening to “inner guidance” / voices / angels, etc. Far too much New Age propaganda causes people to give their power away (to the healer or to the seller of angel cards or whoever).

By growing this blog and sharing enough information with interested people we can reach a critical mass and change humanity’s collective consciousness about health, empowerment, spirituality and that older version of yourself in the clouds that you called “God.”

Yes, such small, humble aims, but we will succeed in them! :-)

The comment wasn’t directed at anyone personally, nor was it meant as a ‘negative’ comment – It was really just an observation of what I perceive as my truth: that one of the greatest problems mankind has is that we don’t (and I do include myself in this) take responsibility enough for our environment – in this case, contributing to a blog.
My intention was only to provoke some debate and get things going a little. I certainly didn’t want to hurt anyone. So again, I’m really sorry for causing you to feel bullied. Please forgive me.

I shoot my own video. I have a $15 halogen light (if needed), and a $350 video camera that records to a flash card, and is transferred straight to the computer. Even my $120 camera that shoots video is good enough. In fact, I can’t watch many videos on the internet with my very fast connection but my very slow/ low memory computer!! (I don’t even bother clicking on HD videos…) I PREFER the low-resolution, fast-loading and easy-playing videos.
I just need to convert it to flash for better (faster) loading and playing, and then it’s done. Well, to be honest, I don’t even bother to convert it much of the time.
Total editing time is about… 0 minutes! It’s not “professional”, it’s not the best, but it’s good enough for its purpose.
Total number of takes: usually 1. If it gets really bad, I stop and reshoot and continue on the reshoot. So, sometimes it’s 2. If it gets really, really bad (constant interruptions you can hear, children kicking the camera, etc.) I might even shoot 3 or 4. But still, there’s not much editing other than cutting and pasting them together. In fact, you can even see where they are connected! (Don’t worry, it wakes people up from their watching trance. ;) )
So, what I’m saying: shoot it, put it up! Don’t bother about the quality” so much. (If you want to reshoot it, put a bunch of good quality stuff on a DVD, sell and ship it.)

P.S. I once commented on the lack of comments on my blog and papers (over 10,000 views, maybe 50 comments, maybe 25 of them non-friendly?). Someone told me, “There’s not much else to say” and “It’s too new/ radical–people don’t know what to say”. I don’t really understand, though, because other blogs like that still get hundreds of comments. Anyway, maybe that’s why. Surely asking questions in posts like this, will make it better. Still, as Renee said, what do *you* want to share?

hi grego. there’s always a cheaper way… but I do have high standards. I have done some cheapo videos but for the RPT videos I want a higher standards – for branding.

I’m interested in your $15 bulb? I hire 2 professional lights for each video shoot.

My main editing committment is for the healing demos which are a lot trickier than just doing a monologue in one take. A 60 minute class demo can be edited down to 25-30 mins of “Therapy” (taking out the waffle of teaching the class). With more editing I can get it down to a 5 min “power demo” with key elements. This process takes a whole day. That’s 3-4 hours on the computer plus 3-4 hours of rendering, processing, converting, uploading, etc… I have left out improving sound quality (my microphone leaves a “hiss”) and other steps. Seriously, it’s a full days work for each short video. I used to outsource this to manage my time better but honestly I could not afford to offer a blog if each video I share with you cost $300!!

I take your point – there is a cheaper no-frills way, I guess it’s just not what I choose. Maybe we are “selling” different things to different audiences?

Regarding your PS. I am grateful to you for sharing that. Yes I know that comments isn’t a sure sign of a popular blog, but it does make for a more interesting, more 3D blog. The final answer to Renee’s question is what I want to share is what’s helpful to my audience, so I need feedback!

    My thoughts:

My light is a tall indoor lamp (in vogue in the USA about 15 years ago!) with a halogen bulb; the lamp head can bend.

You can buy an industrial/ outdoor halogen light, and point it where you want.

Put white paper in front of it (don’t burn it!) for a not-so-strong, softer appearance. Using two big lights–unless there’s a dark background–you’ll likely get double shadows behind you, which takes a third light behind and to the side crossing over or right behind you shooting up to get rid of the shadows.

Want a nice background? Throw up a dark sheet/ material (like black velvet) on a board so it covers the entire camera background.

As to video quality et. al… One idea is to–instead of editing the healing demo’s–do two of them: one long version (comments, audience questions, etc.); one short version (written comments, if needed, to set the context; then a (quick) healing). (Two different people…) I use EFT on children all the time, and I try to record it (except in emergencies!). So, much of the time the video is only seconds long–not worth setting up and paying big money for. Besides, there’s not time to stop everything, get it all set up, etc. That’s usually for physical healing. I do it with fears, phobias, etc., too, though.
Showing the entire thing takes a little longer, but in general it shows two things I really want people to see: the actual healing time and changes as they happen; the ability to do things on the spot without hours of preparation, pre-cooperation, set-up, etc. (Sometimes in people’s minds, too slick = too slick. And I think using children helps a lot with that, especially when I correct them so that it doesn’t show me or EFT in such a favorable light (for example: they give a SUDS of 10, it’s probably just a 7).)
However, for DVD quality selling videos, I probably wouldn’t do it like that, either. On the other hand, for more difficult healings, showing the whole things would be… boring?/ too slow? for many people.
Do you use Sony Vegas, or Windows for editing? 6-8 hours still seems like a lot of time, even for decent-quality, one-camera videos.
It really does depend on the situation and what you hope will result from the video, and how people react to it.

Most of my demos are filmed in class, else where would I get people wanting to be demos?

EFT and RPT cannot be compared in this context. EFT is extremely quick for the things that it’s great at – pattern interrupt. I am a fan. RPT serves different purposes, and is unique in finding the real cause and bringing the minds to coherence. This is more complex. (Not hard, but a lot more involved than 3 seconds of tappings).

I use Final Cut Pro on a MacBook Pro with the older C2D processor. A lot of that 6 hours is waiting for videos to be converted, rendered etc. Hence I am computer shopping at the moment… will probably switch to Sony Vegas on an i5/i7 Win7 notebook.

    cheers

  19. Hi Simon,

“Most of my demos are filmed in class, else where would I get people wanting to be demos?” Clients (offer % discount for filming, and/ or they get a copy of the session (just copy file to CD/ DVD); informed, consent signed, etc. ahead of time). Workshop “got seats” (where the person has already explained the problem and signed a consent form before being a hot seat participant and being filmed)–not just the courses, but the introductions, etc. I think filming clients would make it easier on you–everything (camera, power, lights, background, noise reduction, mic, etc.) is already set up in the filming room in the office. While some clients might not like it “being on record”, others might really enjoy being given a copy, too.

What you film would also depend on why. For example, if you’re doing a home study course, you’ll want to get it all, so you wouldn’t need to edit much. Otherwise students might think, “Oh, 5 minutes” and so they try it and 10 minutes later… : ( Some of the sessions in the Gary Craig EFT videos are pretty lengthy, and most people enjoy them. As some people have mentioned with those and some here have mentioned with the RPT videos, just watching along seems to help the watcher, so there’s that extra benefit, too.

For some situations, especially physical, before and after videos/ photos might do (filming the results instead of the process). (Good to know you’re up on the FTC rules, too. But if you’re outside the USA, do you still need to follow them?) I think that helped get Matrix Energetics going–there was one video they did like that.

3 seconds of tapping?? You are a *pro*! :) I understand RPT it’s different than EFT, and takes longer. Though, for some things (no reading glasses needed after 15 minutes!–my mom is very interested, by the way!), it’s likely much faster.

Yeah, a new computer like that might speed things up… ;) You might just be able to upgrade the chip in and add memory to your Apple. I think it’s still the general favorite of pro media users, and Final Cut Pro…

Maybe try a video editor that doesn’t use rendering? I don’t know if the quality would be exactly the same, but it might. Or take breaks doing other things while the film converts and renders.

    Cheers,
    grego

  20. Hey Simon,
Thank you again for always having something exciting for me to read each day and use.
I admit that in my case its due to shyness that prevents me from writing on the blog.
I had a homeopath situation that i did want to share with you due to the placebo!!!
i went to a homeopath regarding a physical issue, the homeopath gave me a few remedies for my ailments that i only need for acute situations, colds and flus etc. The one that i actually needed urgently i had absolutely no belief in the one he had prescribed, especially after researching it more. However i took it and with every pill i took (i did it more out of proving that he was wronge, only to be amazed that for the first time in 20years i was pain free)
Looking forward to the new dvd tones coming out, any idea of when it will be available.

sounds great. Did you talk about the placebo theory with any of your homeopathy teachers?

new DVD delayed till we re-edit this RPT 3.0 work, about 1 month.

Good news: we will teach another course in Melbourne this year, probably August.

  21. Simon,
I am excited each time I read, watch and use the techniques you describe on your website. I feel your idea to “bring you up to speed with the very latest breakthroughs in the theory of healing and spirituality” is my favorite idea. Although I appreciate any and all of the information you choose to share. It is very helpful to show your website to my friends and family to help them understand what I am up to – or into!
    Hugs and Love,

  22. Hi Simon

I’d like more theory and more video.

A lot of us are new and vulnerable. Still learning. No way are we going to expose ourselves by commenting, when it might get an angry aggressive Ben Ralston type reply where we get insulted and labeled.
    Yucky energy. Not worth it.

    thanks for sharing Jen
I appreciate that putting your thoughts on paper (or the web) can feel vulnerable, even though you can be anonymous. Still I think it’s important to share your ideas with the world. Sometimes confronting the fear that someone will disagree with you is a huge breakthrough to really living your life. And doing this anonymously on the web is a LOT easier than face to face. Consider this a training groun!

There really isn’t anyone angry on this site. Though I have never had to censor a comment, I would if it was aggressive. (I can’t recall what Ben said but anyone who knows him would think it funny that he developed this scary “internet persona”. I respect your feelings, and yet I assure you that he meant no harm!)

PS what you (and others) can share is (a) questions and (b) your feelings about the material or directions. I don’t think anyone needs a big ego to do that!

    [Reply]

  23. PS

I think we see you as having something to say.

Why would you want to hear what we say on this topic? Sometimes big egos love raving on and saying little. Not us!

We want to humbly absorb this new material. What we can contribute will blossom up in time.

  24. Hello Jen,

I’d just like to point something out, and what you do with my remarks is up to you – my intention in making these remarks IS partly to help you. Please take it that way.

I haven’t insulted anyone here, nor have I ‘labelled’ anyone personally. I also haven’t been in the least bit angry or aggressive, because I’m not. Perhaps you should re-read what I wrote, and I hope you’ll see that you were wrong about me.

On the other hand, I did write something slightly controversial ON PURPOSE, hoping that it might prompt people to comment. It worked.

I believe that if you reacted so strongly to my ‘sheep’ comments, it’s because something resonated in you. Perhaps you shoul look at that.
It’s also ironic that in accusing me of making ‘angry, aggressive’ comments, that ‘insult and label’; you do exactly that to ME.

    With love

    Ben
