Can one healing technique work for everybody?

Is it true that no one technique can work for everyone; that we need to “shop around” in order to find what works for us?  I think that most healers believe this, not because it is true but because it is what we’ve been told.  After all, shopping around is good for the economy right?  [...]

How your health is driven by hidden survival insticts (theory behind new RPT)

Many people accuse healers of pseudo-science, New Age hocus pocus or magical thinking.  And most of the time they are dead right.  So, what can we do to set ourselves apart? How can I make it clear that we are firmly grounded in reality? The answer is to build our healing work on a solid [...]

How to create an instant healing technique (part 2)

How do you build an instant healing technique? In my last major article I looked at how simplicity drives the design of a healing technique.  Today I’d like to discuss the how.  How do you create something new. This question has consumed me for almost 10 years, and I’d like to share some of that [...]

Designing the ultimate healing technique (Part 1: Occam’s Razor)

How do you develop the ultimate instant healing technique?  Where do you even start?  By peeling away the layers of existing techniques to see what makes them tick.  How? Does evil exist? (or “The Science of Duality”?)

Does evil actually exist? Can we really truly say that a person, or thing, or idea is “Evil?” Please take 10 seconds to think about that. Are paedophiles evil? Was Hitler / Stalin / Mao / Pol Pot evil? What about ideas? Can a concept like communism / fascism be called evil? One thing that’s [...]

Personal update: Greetings from Moscow

Greetings from Moscow! Evette and I landed safe and sound here on Monday after a long but uneventful 3 day trip from Vanuatu.  The 30 hour stretch from Brisbane to Moscow via Heathrow was the longest single plane trip I’ve ever done. It was fine though and jetlag hasn’t been a major issue this time. [...]

Attraction is NOT Divine Intervention (Part 2)

Yesterday I shared several real life examples of “magical thinking” in the New Age community. People searching for deeper answers to why things happen are very quick to say “Upstairs” showed me a sign, and very reluctant to own and take responsibility for their creation. I’d like to share now another true story that happened [...]

Why Attraction is NOT Divine Intervention (part 1)

True story: Sally’s car breaks down on the way to a job interview.  Instead of rescheduling the interview, Sally cancels, taking it as a sign from her angels that she was not meant to take this job. Depending on your spiritual beliefs and education background you will either find that to be (a) inspirational and [...]

Does the Law of Attraction work or not?

The Law of Attraction is one of those hot topics.  People never seem to tire of debating why it’s true; why it’s false; or why everyone else just misunderstands it! (I’m in the 3rd category.) There have been a lot of great comments on this blog about the subjects of Law of Attraction (LOA) and [...]
